Review Guidelines

How reviews are collected, verified and moderated. No review is ever published automatically.

Last updated 4 September 2026

1. Every review is moderated

Reviews are never automatically published.

Each review enters a pending queue and is read by a person before any decision is made. Only approved reviews affect a public rating or review count.

The workflow is: submitted → pending → verification → approved or rejected → published.

2. Who can leave a review

Reviews must describe a genuine, direct working relationship with the expert. We may contact you for proof of the engagement before approving a review or marking it as a verified client.

3. Reviews we remove

  • Self-submitted reviews, and reviews written by employees, founders, contractors or family.
  • Reviews from competitors or anyone with an undisclosed conflict of interest.
  • Incentivised, purchased or exchanged reviews.
  • Fake, fabricated or duplicated reviews.
  • Abusive, defamatory, discriminatory or promotional content.
  • Reviews containing confidential information or personal data about third parties.

4. Writing a useful review

  • Say what the engagement covered and roughly how long it ran.
  • Be specific about what worked and what did not.
  • Base results on what you can substantiate.
  • Keep it factual — criticism is welcome, personal attacks are not.

5. Corrections, disputes and removal

Experts may flag a review they believe breaches these guidelines. We re-investigate rather than simply remove, and the outcome is decided by the directory, not the expert.

A published review can be unpublished or deleted later if new information emerges. Reviewers can ask for their own review to be corrected or removed at any time.
